New year, new me, sound familiar? Did you also set some New Year's resolutions in full-on party mode and are you already breaking out in a sweat trying to achieve them? No worries, Ravi will help you in the new year with some handy tips so you can show off your goals by the end of the year: check, check, double check!

The pressure is real

Are you done partying and kissing and has the new year already started in full force? If so, this has probably also announced the kick-off of your New Year's resolutions and perhaps even quite publicly on social media in all your enthusiasm... Do you already feel the pressure? By sticking to a tight goals game-plan, you will be shining with your achieved goals next New Year!

Tips for a tight goals game-plan

The start of a new year is the perfect time to challenge yourself with some goals that will only make you better as a person. Choosing the right goals and making them happen? Let's go!

1. Start simple

The bigger, the better? Not in this case anyway to keep it realistic. Keep it simple is the message! That way you won't get overwhelmed immediately by the big challenge ahead of you either, but instead feel like flying into it.

For example, do you want to start exercising? Then don't start running a marathon right away, but go for 2 workouts per week and build up slowly. Or do you want to drink less alcohol? Then don't go cold turkey right away either, but start by not drinking any or just one glass with dinner during the week. Determine your own goal and what seems achievable for you. That way you have a better chance of success.

2. Choose a clear goal

Don't just say "I want to lose weight, save money, or enjoy life more," choose clear goals. Setting your goal clearly will also make it easier for you to achieve it.

So for example, go for -10 kg by the end of the year or try to save a certain and above all achievable amount each month, even if it's 'only' 20 euros. And plan a certain activity every month that makes you happy or start a hobby you've always wanted to do.

3. Be kind to yourself

You are your own mental coach in this battle of the goals so be kind to yourself! Have you been unable to save for a month or have you not lost as much weight as expected? Or are you overwhelmed at work so that workout is on the back burner? No stress, nobody is perfect and shit happens.

It makes absolutely no sense to keep blaming yourself and to sit on your hands. It's better to reset and get back to work!

4. Choose your ideal goal girl or guy

Nothing better than having a partner in crime to beat goals with!

Do you know someone with the same goals? Go for it together and enjoy some lovely quality time. If you're feeling down, you'll always have a sidekick to motivate you and vice versa.

5. Time to celebrate!

Are you halfway through or have you already reached a milestone? Then it's time to celebrate! And be sure to celebrate the little wins, because they give you a boost to continue so you can reach your end goals.

All work and no play? Oh hell no! You can regularly give yourself a pat on the shoulder down the road for the progress you've made and celebrate and announce this with the necessary bells and whistles. Also nice for your supporters by the way!

Go get your goals!
