Handwriting is hot and heartwarming

Want to thank someone for a birthday gift, party or some well needed help? Nothing is as personal and thoughtful as a handwritten thank-you card! And if you add a matching Ravi giftbox, the thank-you picture is complete.

The comeback of the handwritten thank-you card

Did your friends go all out during your remodel, did your neighbor babysit your dog during your vacation, do you want to thank someone for a successful party or did you have a lot of support from your sister, brother, parents or bff during a difficult time? Sometimes it doesn't feel enough to just say thank you.

So don't just say it, write it! Choose to write it down in lovely old school fashion in the form of a heartwarming thank you card. But how do you go about doing that? We dive deeper into the art of handwritten messages. Take notes!

How to: handwritten cards

1. Take your time

Take your time when writing the thank-you card and don't do it in a hurry during the daily rush. If you're rushed or stressed, you won't be able to put down a well thought out message and the recipient is going to notice that too. So plan a time and choose a quiet place where you can sit and write. That way you can think carefully about what you want to write and you will get the desired message across even better.

2. Personal touch

Make sure your card really matches the act or gift. So don't just say 'thank you', but say 'thank you for your hard work in the house', 'thank you for the beautiful gift, it will come in handy' or 'thank you for your unconditional support'. With a gift, you can mention what exactly you got and how you are going to use it.

3. Practice your writing skills

You don't have to be a calligraphy prodigy, but it is recommended that you practice your writing skills before you start your handwritten message. Especially if you hardly ever write anything by hand (except maybe a shopping list, and even that we mostly tap on our smartphones), it's a good idea to practice before you start writing. Of course, you want to avoid having the recipient decipher the message first, because then it will be completely lost...

4. Choose a matching gift box

Accompany your handwritten card with a matching Ravi gift box to give someone a truly extensive and original thank you. Again, make sure you add a personal touch by choosing a gift box that matches the person or the thank-you. The more personal, the better!

Here you'll find some inspiration for successful "Thank you" boxes. You can also choose a card to go with the gift boxes and have us write your handwritten message for you.

And now, time to write!
